larnielass Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 So Mr Gove may change the inspection notification for schools to little or no notice given before an Inspector knocks on the door. Welcome to the world of Early Years! 7 Quote

SueJ Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 At the risk of upsetting Rea for once he has actually said something I could agree with. As pvi full day care and sessional settings are now pretty much the only settings having no notice inspections I think it's high time that the playing field was levelled in this respect - either give notice to everyone or no notice to everyone 3 Quote
SueJ Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I hear what you are saying Rea - I guess it's a bit like the monkeys and the typewriters and shakespear's plays - if he says enough things eventually there will be a nugget worth listening to 1 Quote
Panders Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Don't have much time for the man, but would like a return to notice of inspection for all. It's all well and good being expected to plan everything as your best day ever but that brings huge pressure with it, sometimes it has to be 'best under the circumstances' and a little leeway offered wouldn't go amiss either 3 Quote
garrison Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Signed. As a former school governor and an EYT in a PVI I also think that no one should have notice of inspection- it limits what you can 'fudge' on the day. 1 Quote
