Sugata Mitra's "Hole in the Wall" experiments have shown that, in the absence of supervision or formal teaching, children can teach themselves and each other, if they're motivated by curiosity and peer interest.

how fantastic what a great speaker!....some fantastic quotes and definitely justifies CL learning!! we should all become 'grannies'instead of interfering busybodies, trying to justify why they are there.Thanks Inge :rolleyes:

I did think it really had some relevance to CL learning, - glad I am not the only one...

 

I did love the cloud granny idea...

 

glad you enjoyed it.. I was not sure when I started but was caught in the first few minutes.. he is good..

Gosh that was clever, I can watch it on here.. how did you do that?

 

and I did enjoy it too.. very thought provoking.. that site is good..

 

and his comment on retirement age for current children and not knowing what it will be like then, reminded me of my sons comment.. by the way it is going I wont retire until I am 75 or 80!
