Rea Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I saw a link to this on another forum. With Christmas fast approaching it might be of help...Its certainly the best list of toys I've ever seen and I have very fond memories of all of them The 5 best toys of all time Quote
Verona Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!! I have always said give a young child the cardboard box and the left over wrapping paper and they will be happy all over Christmas When we had our grandchildren for the weekend (away in our caravan - only a couple of years ago) the 10 year old said "You know grandma, you don't have to spend lots of money to have fun do you?" It made me sooooooooo happy to hear that. The two boys (10 and 8) had spent most of the weekend outside wearing wellies, walking through deep mud ruts, finding sticks and poking the mud about, chasing each other pretending to be soldiers, going on "adventures", making a bow out of long twigs and string, going for walks aound the area with us and going on a "midnight hike" with my husband, with torches (at 8.30pm - it was pitch black, they didn't know though!!) - so yes i really agree that they are the top toys for children.
