HoneyPancakes
I keep annotated photos and long observations on computer file, but I throw out old post-its, backs of envelopes etc after I've added to profile. Beginning to think maybe I shouldn't be. It is evidence after all. I really don't want to be keeping stuff like that. Honey
Susan
Keep them until the child has left you and then discard or hand to parents!

HappyMaz
We bind ours into the back of our observation trackers and give to parents.
Fredbear
Hi all of our annotations, post its and observations all go into the children's learning journals which are given to the child and parent when they leave our setting.

Cait
If it's just the scruffy original scribbled note that you've used 'properly', I would dispose of it - I burn mine on the living room fire
Guest
Same as Cait. We have a couple of staff members who insist on using scrappy bits of paper for writing their obs on, despite having a nice, easy to use proforma for them. However, we don't keep the scrappy bits of paper, they get shredded and used for malleable activities! The obs are written onto the proper sheet and then filed in the children's profiles.
