There is a young lady called biccy

Her queue jumping makes me feel icky

But I'm sure she's real nice

Full of sugar and spice

Cor rhyming with biccy is tricky!

I've tried :o

There was a stainned chipped coffee mug

Who in the cupboard looked a bit of a thug.

It's owner said PLEASE

As she got on her knees

Can I replace it with a new FSF mug?

Here's my limerick in tribute to today's conference (in order to rhyme you need to read EYPS as EEPS...)

In Brum, for a conference on EYPS

We met several well known Forum peeps

Mrs T was outrageous

Tanya Byron flirtatious

and Chicken was in charge of the sweets!

Daddy Day Care was stalked (very mildly)

And to sexism responded quite wildly

AlisonP nearly went gluten free

Watching Maz eat a huge lunch quite idly

A late lunch our Wolfie had booked

And just couldn't find Sue ('though she'd looked)

But then worse news befell her 'cos some footballing fella

Has his placed on a transfer list booked

Sue gave out Forum badges and pens

Helen's fame came in front of the lens

mundia drank tea and showed Jo where to wee

Thanks for a great day, my FSF friends!

That Wolfie's a football fanatic

Some might even say she's a loo-na-tic

She's turned all pedantic

And positively semantic

But she's forgiven me now, I'm ecstatic!

boom boom!

There was a forum dweller named Maz

Who in Brum went out on the razz

She giggled about plastic

Said this pen is fantastic

And enjoyed listening in to some jazz

Well you try rhyming with Maz.....haha

Right this is my rubbish attempt! xD

Happy birthday to me

I would be happy with glee

If only this rain

would go down the drain.

Oh were did the sun go

Then I could be at home

Out enjoying the sun

and having lots of fun!

Well at least I tried to get a FSF Mug :( . Can you tell I am fed up of the rain on my birthday already? :o

Hi All

Please forgive me not a witty limerick or very good poem but here goes!!

When I started in childcare with children I wanted to play

puzzles, bricks and painting where the activities of the day.

Times they where a changing along came guidances with ideas aknew.

No longer would experience and natural affinity do.

By 2010 an EYP we must employ.

So with trepidation to a training provider I did deploy.

To start a journey filled with heartache and stress.

And now here I stand an EYP no less.

Five long years it has taken to achieve my dream.

Now here I am part of an outstanding team.

And now this part of my journey has come to an end

And with This competition my message I can send

So to the FSF and members I offer my heartfelt thanks

For all there support and encouragement since I joined the Ranks.

I am rubbish at this kind of thing, so won't even attempt it - but wanted to say how brilliant they all are, I've relaly enjoyed reading them! And mundia - being the toilet director is a very important job - well, it was important to me at the time!!

Thanks for all the entries. I will be sorting through the thread later and posting them up for voting on tomorrow. :o

Ok, so now it's over I'll add mine

There once was a lass on the forum

Replied to all posts as soon as she saw 'em

She soon racked up her 'score'

But she still wanted more

Come on girl - show a bit of decorum!!

Because I don't want to win anything - I just couldn't resist posting.

Cait wrote the decorum line anyway, in chat

Can't believe you used it though!

there's no stopping me now!

One fine summer evening in chat

Whilst dining on salmon and that

Possum hung from the light

Giving Sunny a fright

“I’m sure that’s a bit of a bat!”

Isn't it great having time to play!!

Stuck on the last line - where's Possum or Sunnyday - anyone?

My very good friend who’s called Sunnyday

Decided she couldn’t come out and play

“I must do my SEF”

She said, under her breath

ah tee dah dah, tee dah dah, a tiddle - ay

That'll surely keep Ofsted at bay?
