How about gingerbread house (Lakeland Limited have kits)

Huge bits of paper to draw round each other and make into big gingerbread man display?

There must be something with the animals and the river etc, but I can't think just now

When we did gingerbread men, when we went to the oven they had run away and left a picture of where thy had gone, Children then had to follow the clues to find them, we had 4 clues to follow in the setting before finding them again!

A small world works well and I've attached recipe, poem and figures for magnet board. It's also a good story for making a story sack.

Thanks Biccy - what a lovely photo! Love your gingerbread rhymes too - just fab!

How do you make brown play dough???

powered paint, ready mix paint, liquid food colouring mixed seperately first (orange and green), ground coffee, gravy browning or cinnamon OR you can buy small pots of HIGHLY concenrated paste food colouring. More expensive but last ages as you use a cocktail stick to add very small amounts. Its great for getting deep rich colours. If you use bottled red because your mixing it with white flour you get a pinky red, a paste red will give you a Santa red.

Not used this online shop I usually go to a bricks and mortar cake decorating shop but this is what I mean
