Dont know where in Cornwall you are Mousie, but have been looking in on the St. Ive's webcam for the Sloop Inn and the weather has been rather lovely for a couple of days, makes a difference in normal circs but at the moment - well we all need something to keep us cheered up.

ahh Froglet -😞 feel very disappointed for you. Going to have to be double cake rations for you when the time comes, what a lonely birthday unless you can meet up some how.

Picture the scene - I am making a chocolate cake for son's 28th birthday. Not made this one before - it is a very very very WET mix. 9floz milk and 4.5 floz oil and 9floz boiling water - when I came to adding the water at the very end and switched on the Kenwood ................ suffice to say there was a certain amount of language and clearing up to do😱😂

Zigzag great news - I could see the weather was quite good where you are, glad you made the most of it outside. Manners make so much difference so pleased the children are cottoning on after all your work.

oh Zigzag I feel your pain - it's when they just sneeze right in front of you and the green "brains" ooze down their top lip, makes me shudder :). Nearly Friday.2 more sleeps

Well I can't see anywhere in their info that you should register every year - I remember just one year finding out that we were no longer registered - I wonder if they just "de-register" groups after a period of time as a matter of policy, that's why I have always suggested people check each year. To be honest I told them when I retired - but they still send me stuff! Just goes to show that at some point in the future they will no longer send me anything, but when it suits them. -

Think you have said the right things zigzag. Maybe she was having one of those anxious moments when you can't quite get your head straight - it usually passes with some kindly well thought out reassurance. hope your dad is recovering well. I binge watched Criminal on Netflix🐼

In some way maybe they have "lost" a year's maturity in these last 6 months. Seems in some way you have a psychological job to do here and re-educate sympathetically. Going to have to dig into reserves Zigzag.Hope things improve for you all next week. My 5 and a half year old grand daughter asked to go back to doing half days as she had last year!

Yes I noticed them in our one too - just opened here in August. I also noted that Tesco were selling the usual tubs of toffees about 3 weeks ago at £3.50 per tub, now £4.00! Mostly it creeps in under the wire for a while, but you just know its all there in the warehouse waiting to go out😱
