Greenfinch Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Dear All I hope this is in the correct area. Have you seen this? Look at the last paragraph. Thoughts? Sorry, I've been on my laptop all day and have just read this - I have few words to add at this stage! https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/use-of-free-early-education-entitlements-funding-during-the-coronavirus-outbreak/use-of-free-early-education-entitlements-funding-during-coronavirus-covid-19 Quote
sunnyday Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Yes, thank you Greenfinch I had seen this - it's all so disheartening Quote

zigzag Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 I saw this yesterday and couldn’t believe what I was reading! At the best of times I feel that we are a baby sitting service this will just give parents even more of an excuse! Quote
louby loo Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 (edited) I'm trying to look on the positive side. I think this might be a worst case scenario - like during the war when they requenished reared....... when they took over larges house to help run the war effort. Tim Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 I think this is an emergency contingency to be used in a worst case that, hopefully, will not arise. Quote

I'm thinking the same Tim - let's hope that it's a case of 'great minds think alike' and not 'fools seldom differ' Quote
Mouseketeer Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 I’d just like to know how my county think staff are on the wages they used in their calculation example ....no one is on less than £10 an hour, not a NLW in sight 🤣 and they deducted other expenses from their workings out not just wages 🤔 2 Quote
Greenfinch Posted April 30, 2020 Author Posted April 30, 2020 I’m glad it’s not just me feeling a bit shocked! Well, we’ll just have to hope it never becomes an issue - we’ve all got enough to worry about as it is! Take care everyone x 2 Quote
