We're done and finished for the year!

I really want to thank Mouseketeer for her fantastic suggestion of the mini sports challenges!!!!   It worked sooooooo well! We are never doing another concert is all I can say 😁

Good morning - 'tis Friday

Congrats louby on making it through another school year - happy hols now!!!

Thank goodness the heat has lessened here - long may it last (please)

Another busy week for me and next week looks much the same...

I have a granddog arriving later today - she will be with us for two weeks - she's a real sweetie and we are happy to have her 🐶🧡

My plans for the weekend will revolve around my garden - I have some serious cutting back to do - that's all good, I will be very happy in my madness!

Well, my plans to sleep all day are over 😭!   Daughter not feeling well 'can you have GS today - maybe a sleepover?'  😂.  Love it really, he's pretty easygoing on the whole.

Sunnyday- I too need to do some serious cutting back in the garden- and this weekends weather seems a good time.

Congratulations Louby Lou, hope you have the best break and can shut off and relax. I’m off to do a changeover and a village hall clean today and will no doubt be a puddle of sweat within 30 minutes! Have family coming down from Kent today so looking forward to a get together tomorrow.  Tonight is the next village overs carnival. My grandson is going as part of the baby group and they have made a tractor trailer to fit around his pram (thank you to Nana for saving the day with how to fix it!) some pre-school skills are never lost! And my mum is going as part of her seniors group as a bearded lady! So should be fun! Have a great weekend all.

You know it's been a good day in Early Years when... you're still getting sand out of your shoes 3 hours after the children have gone home!

I've worked lots this week doing extra days and so on, I'm tired but we have had some lovely times. I have been fed many many 'milkshakes/icecreams/soups' from our seaside cafe and we had an amazing time creating a siphon using tubing to water the plants.

End of year 'do' tomorrow - it's starting early afternoon so I'm contemplating a visit to Waterstones as part of my own end of year treat.  After that 3 or 4 more days to go next week then I'm done.

Congratulations on finishing Louby and all you others enjoy your weekend plans!

 Your comment made me chuckle!  Poor love was scorching by the time she got to the harbour! The beard and wig quickly came off. Really not dignified for a 90 year old 🤣🤣

Had to share this, my family are down from Kent and we had an evening on the beach last night, complete with sausages and marshmallows on the fire pit. This is four generations of us swimming. And my dog of course!  ❤️

Good morning - 'tis Friday

Funny old week here - busy which is fine but disappointing news on the house sale, we received a ridiculous offer from the buyer following survey - hmmm - we have countered and we shall see what happens next.

Dear little granddog is behaving beautifully (so far!) which is just lovely.

We have Sunday lunch plans with youngest son and DIL which is something to look forward to over the weekend.

Hope everyone is okay and now enjoying the summer break...

I finished for the summer yesterday so today I'm having a lazy day - I didn't think I would be as tired only working part time but I am definitely sleepy. No particular plans coming up. My niece is coming to stay in a couple of weeks so I need to research some things to do with her and also sort out my spare room so she has somewhere to sleep!

I also need to try to sort out a new mobile which I hate doing - I get very stressed trying to understand all the terminology and tend to keep a phone until it is no longer useable - that's just about where I'm at now so needs must!

There's a few films and plays I want to go and see but also want to wait a couple of days until I'm less tired - I think a darkened room would have me snoozing all too quickly!

I had a new one a few weeks ago - i held out for as long as possible, but my old one get turning itself off and restarting mid conversation - Mr S said "one day that will be an emergency situation" - he was right so I caved!!!

House selling 😬!!!!  Our buyers (parents house) asked us to drop 15K last minute - as they had had  to drop their price after their survey, and thought we should do the same 😂 Our survey was fine and showed no problems. We politely pointed that that wasn't actually our problem so - no.  Sale went through very swiftly after that.  Hope you get yours sorted sunnyday. 🤞

Froglet - I finished last week, and still catching up on rest!

I managed to squeeze tomorrows changeover into today, then people are leaving a day early tomorrow so can squeeze that in and have a whole day off on Sunday! Bliss.
