Hi all,

I have sorted out our admin files today and found quality frameworks and sef amongst other things dating back to 2010 - I am the fifth leader in that time and many many things have changed.

Would you keep these documents??

Thanks ?

Nope, bin it. We've had an epic clear out, we followed the PLA list on what to keep which is basically, all minutes and insurance certs forever, anything relating to staff until 6 years after they've left and all registers, accident, incident 3 years after children have left. We also kept complaints, even notes complaining about sessions offered. Everything else binned or ready for burning.

Can you see any way in which they would help your practice NOW? If no, why keep? if they have no place in a court of law should the worst happen, why would you want to keep old SEFs etc.

Exactly!! You have to think 'who are we keeping this for?' We had a framed certificate from our quality framework, it was bronze!! Why would heck keep that ever??? Gone now
