My head hurts.. could somebody with a better understanding of GCSE maths than me help!! I can count to 10 if that helps the pre-school children at all? GCSE maths for a nursery worker in my opinion is only needed if we suddenly started to teach children of 3/4 year old Algebra, for example! Basically NO need! Anyways moving on...

Help me find a true costing per hour.. please!!

Hi Cait

I was only referring to the 85% as an example because the reality is that you probably can't assume that

1. All children will always take all of their hours, so you have to consider what your uptake is when making projections.

2. Every hour of every day is full to capacity for the whole year.....again probably unlikely for many.

It may not be 85%, it may be less or more, but knowing what is typical for you will help with realistic projections. If you assume full uptake and full capacity and don't achieve this you'll be quite a bit short.
