Suggestions on what to buy

We were lucky enough to receive some extra funding for our 2 yr olds and I have £140 left. Do you have anything in your setting that you feel is essential for 2 yr olds? We have new changing mat etc I am thinking more along the lines of resources.

COULD YOU DO A RESOURCE CHECK-SEE WHAT YOU HAVE FOR 2 YEAR OLDS THEN LOOK AT WHAT YOU NEED? OUT DOOR TOYS -SCOOTERS - INSIDE IS ENDLESS -WE BOUGHT A LOW LEVEL SAND/WATER TRAY FOR OUR 2'S AS FOUND THE HIGHER ONE WAS HARD FOR THEM TO USE - MOST ON TIPPY TOES OR ALMOST FALLING IN WHERE CLAMBOURED TO REACH SAND/WATER X

Thank you for your replies, I am pleased to say we already have everything mentioned so I must be doing something right! Our marble run is a big hit so I think I may look for a large version with 2yr old friendly balls!

Afew ideas:

  • Large mark-making tools (like those big dome shaped crayons)
  • A projector if you can get one at that price? One of those really old big ones are good for shadow play, music and dancing and high contrast visuals
  • Balancing beam (age/stage appropriate, like the Sensa ones for under twos)
  • Powder paint - you can make some pretty good stuff with it like moon sand
  • Make a holistic play resource box
  • Dark den and accessories

I think that's all I got off the top of my head, was trying to come up with things you might not already have :)
