RedDragon
We currently have 18 children and have had a small extension built and want to accommodate 20.Do I need to inform Ofsted of this?
Rea
Depends what your registration certificate says, from memory ours says 26 children aged 2 to 5, we can do what we want within that. :1b
Mouseketeer
I think we decide now, though it still has to be dictated by your staff:child ratio's....they might be more interested in the change to premises ie; extension
sunnyday
Yes, exactly as mouse said! :1b Have you received your new Reg certificate (without a 'number') if not give them a ring!
Fredbear
I don't think there is a number on them now. ( going to have to check myself tomorrow now) It is up to you to work within the statutory requirements such as adult/ child ratio, sq metres of space per amount of children, as well as toilet facilities. As for having an extension think you might need to notify them of those changes as mouse 63 says.
Guest
It's up to you now - no need to inform but you might want to include it on your SEF.
Guest SamG
I thought if there were changes to the premises that you HAD to inform Ofsted, could be wrong but double check.
Guest
If in doubt.....let them know. Could prevent some heartache later on!
hali
new reg certs do not have numbers on - up to you to risk assess - BUT as Janny says I would still inform Ofsted by email so its in writing in case anything goes wrong :1b
