Devondaisy Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Can anyone tell me if the new style sef is available yet? And if so, how to get on to it! I have been checking regularly and can't seem to find it, but a message on a thread on here implies someone else has, and I have now read an article in NW which states: "The revised SEF is available on the Ofsted website." Help!
Andreamay Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 we were told end of Sept in letter from Ofsted
suebear Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 27th Sept comes to mind, but don't know where I got that from!! All inspectors know it's down so don't panic and if you're really that eager the new version (according to our local authority) will enable you to cut and paste to and from Word, so you can type it up in advance x
Mouseketeer Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 At a managers briefing this week we were told it was going to be end of sept but looking more like jan now
eyfs1966 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Hurrah, end of Jan means I can put the rewrite off for another few months!! 3
Mouseketeer Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Just don't blame me if it's earlier !
Guest Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I phoned and asked and was told it was down so they can work on revising it and couldn't even estimate when it may be available.
purplewednesday1 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 .... as long as your self evaluation is up to date in some format (SEF or papercopy or other method) as it is a requirement that setting demonstrate effective evaluation. Delaying writing up is fine as long as you can demonstrate that the evaluation is taking place pw
flowlow Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 out of interest does anybody NOT use the ofsted one??
Mouseketeer Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Me....was gonna update our online sef when we moved to new prem, but when I realised I couldn't just do that I had to start again 'sod that' came to mind 1
flowlow Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 know what you mean to be honest hate SEF so always think SOD IT lol so what do you use? have you just made one up? 1
Mouseketeer Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Yep, did pretty much used there headings, unless I didn't know the answers then just missed them out 3
zigzag Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 End of September has been and gone and still no new SEF avaliable!! Does anybody have any idea when its going to be avaliable?
eyfs1966 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I rang Ofsted today and they said now expected mid october. Shame, I was hoping for later!! Wanted to save it for after Xmas. I can only hope they hit another technical hitch!!! 1
zigzag Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Sooner the better for me, we moved buildings in January and have tweaked it to cover the move but am reluctant to do it all properly if I am going be changing to the new format anytime soon. Never got to do an online one last time around so our paper copy is a totally working document with scribbles and post its all over the place!! Cant wait to do complete the new one and get it online this time. How sad am I? I am aware that Ofsted online are down at some point today, I wonder if that means anything?
finleysmaid Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 sad though i am i feel the same zigzag...as we moved last year too and have been inspected without a sef i just want to get it out of the way and cross it off my list!
Guest Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 try this to get to the new SEF online (hard copies aren't available from OFSTED yet but lucyevans has uploaded a copy here)
