Madmum
Hi! I have been asked if there is any official guidance on the minimum numer of sessions that can be claimed in 1 setting? We are a maintained nursery and have 2 children who do 3x 3hr sessions wiht us, and the rest at another setting. Before this, they all did 5 sessions, and we're not suire if there's any ruling on a minimum. I was sure I had read 3 days somewhere, but what I've found says that the full 15 hours has to be over aminimum of 3 days. Cheers! Madmum
Stargrower
Hi Madmum Yes for us if they use the full 15 hours it has to be over a minimum of three days. If they do less than three days, they can't claim the full 15 hours. Beehive
Panders
I have a child who does 7 hours with us,, i.e, 3 hours one day and 4 hours the next but only has funding left over for 3 hours as he also attends another nursery, his parents pay for the other 4 hours that he is with us. I have no problem claiming just 3 hours funding for him;
finleysmaid
we also have children who only attend 2 sessions(6 hours) they do not attend anywhere else but could if they wanted...there is no legal requirement for them to do any pre-school of course! Madmum
Thanks for that. It makes it clearer. I think in the past there may have been an 'all or nothing' approach at our setting!
Mouseketeer
We have to claim a min 2.5hrs per week
eyfs1966
it's my understanding that in our LEA settings can make up their own rules, and apply an all or nothing rle if they want, but this must be clear in their documentation from the outset.
