hi we are registered for children aged 2 -4 years of age we have always took children from 2 1/2 but have just lowered the age to2. do we need to inform ofsted evan tho we are registered for 2 year olds?

We did much the same as you, sammy123. We were always registered for children from two, but generally took them from two and a half or so. I didn't inform Ofsted when we started taking them from two because that's what we were registered for.


I didn't get an Ofsted-sponsored slap on the wrist at inspection time, I have to say! :o


However if you're worried, a quick email to Ofsted letting them know should put your mind at rest.
