Guest Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 hi we are registered for children aged 2 -4 years of age we have always took children from 2 1/2 but have just lowered the age to2. do we need to inform ofsted evan tho we are registered for 2 year olds? thanks Quote
finleysmaid Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 yes you do need to tell them so that they can register it on your details...they may send you a variation certificate but i would doubt it Quote
Cait Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I would have thought not. If you are already registered for two year olds, then it's up to you whether you take them or not. Quote
Fredbear Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 If your registration certificate states from 2 years you should be fine, but I have always put any changes in writing to them and kept a copy just incase. Quote
HappyMaz Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 We did much the same as you, sammy123. We were always registered for children from two, but generally took them from two and a half or so. I didn't inform Ofsted when we started taking them from two because that's what we were registered for. I didn't get an Ofsted-sponsored slap on the wrist at inspection time, I have to say! However if you're worried, a quick email to Ofsted letting them know should put your mind at rest. Quote
