Rea
Five little caterpillars sitting on a leaf One little caterpillar fell alseep When he woke up he found he could fly Now theres four caterpillars and one butterfly... 'Who's that tickling my back?' said the wall 'Its me' said the caterpillar 'I'm learning to crawl. I have a little spider I'm very fond of him He climbs onto my shoulder And then up to my chin He crawls down my arm And then around my leg Now he's a tied spider So I put into bed (One hand does a spider crawl upto the shoulder and chin etc and then he's put into bed by cupping the other hand around it) Under a stone where the earth was firm I found a wiggly, wriggly worm 'Good morning' I said 'How are you today?' But the wiggly worm just wriggled away. What do you suppose? A bee sat on my nose! Then what do you think? He gave me a wink. And aid 'I beg your pardon, I thought you were my garden! Panders
This is great - what's the tune? We have used this rhyme for a long time and I am not aware of a tune for it. The children dress up wearing floaty scarves around their bodies so that when they turn into butterflies they have beautiful wings to fly off with.
