Guest Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Ahhhh ...I can't remember the programme, but recently it showed a tribe somewhere (sorry was half asleep!) where they considered fawns as sacred - if a fawn was orphaned, the women of the village breast fed the fawns (if they were able of course!) Cait Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 yes I saw that, was it in India or somewhere? Quote
HappyMaz Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I saw something similar about a tribe that hunts monkeys for food. However they also keep monkeys as pets, and if the men kill a mother they will bring home the orphaned baby monkey to the womenfolk who then breastfeed the baby along with their own. Quote

HoneyPancakes Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Heart warming, but just a little disturbing in parts. Honey Quote
Guest Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Absolutely adorable. It's just a shame humans aren't always so accepting of each others' differences xxx Quote
