Guest
Hi Just wondering whether anyone has a pro-forma of an Inclusion Audit which I could take a peek at please? I have just been reading my Open University course books and came across the Index for Inclusion and applying an Inclusion Audit into settings to address removing barriers to learning. Would like to implement it - but not sure where or how to start. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you. Emmawill
Hello, I have just put my equal opps coordinator on the newly named ENCO course which was a bit of an eye opener!!!! she came back with loads of stuff and informed me that we hve now got to audit and set up an equality working group at the sertting. She got a big book which gives a blank audit form in the back of book . Going by what she has come back with that we have now got to do ( and apparently Ofsted are quite hot on settings inputting this into thier settings) I would try to arrange for someone in you rsetting to attend a course.. I thought we covered inclusion quite well at out setting but it has opened my eyes to a lot of things that we need to change and action plan. Hope this helps

Guest
There is another ENCO book provided on the ENCO course. Which has audit templates and job roles for the Equality Named CoOrdinator. I had a disc provided too with activities to support relaying information to my staff members. Important course to attend, preferable more then one person attending depending on size of the setting as it is a big role to fulfil.
