Guest Spiral
Starry Poem To all the children in the world Our love to you does unfurl Richer, poorer, happy, sad That you're so special I am glad. The light of the star is so bright, It comes from you, every day, every night. It gives me strength when I look up high your stars are there lighting up the sky. Sometimes adults may lose their way but you are there by night and by day Leading with your innocent light precious stars twinkle on, helping us all to feel alright. For every child in the world, as they are the light that keeps many an adult going, Spiral x Edited December 6, 2010 by Spiral

Beau
8. Time to pull a Christmas Cracker but typically the little toy has flown off somewhere and you'll have to hunt for it. Hidden somewhere in the forum is a picture of your cracker toy - all you have to do is find it and pm me telling me what it is! And time for a bad cracker joke! HappyMaz
one of our little boys was clearly singing Wisemen travelled from a farm, from a farm, from a farm One line in our song is "we found him in a manger there" and one little lad yesterday was singing 'we found him in a manger chair'. Goes along with that all time classic "on that farm it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh'!
Beau
Sorry about the delay which now puts me a day behind. Hopefully I'll get chance to catch up over the weekend. 9. Panders
Ha ha! just been listening to that one in a shop - been out looking for a trashy Christmas shop - you know the kind, just open for the few weeks before Christmas and sell nothing but Christmas trashy stuff. We've always had one in our town at some point and I usually pick up large tubs of very cheap glitter which means our children can use as much as they like and I get to keep the expensive and really good stuff for their Christmas cards and more special projects - but my supplies have run really low and nobody is selling it this year. Obviously we have pound shops, and I have picked up the odd bit of crimbo trash for collaging today but not the glitter.

Beau
13. There are 9 types of Angels mentioned in the bible, can you name 3? Just before Christmas God was looking down at Earth and saw all of the evil that was going on. He decided to send an angel down to Earth to check it out. So he called one of His best angels and sent the angel to Earth for a time. When she returned she told God, yes it is bad on Earth, 95% is bad and 5% is good. Well, he thought for a moment and said, maybe I had better send down a second angel to get another point of view. So God called another angel and sent her to Earth for a time too. When the angel returned she went to God and told him yes, the Earth was in decline, 95% was bad and 5% was good. God said this was not good. So He decided to email the 5% that were good and He wanted to encourage them, give them a little something to help them keep going. Do you know what that email said? Ah, so you didn't get one either? Beau
14. Another rhyme or limerick this time - anything to do with gifts or wrapping. As a little girl climbed onto Santa's lap, Santa asked the usual, "And what would you like for Christmas?" The child stared at him open mouthed and horrified for a minute, then gasped: "Didn't you get my E-mail?"
Beau
15. We've all heard of Big Ben, but can you identify this famous bell? Reindeer Band Jingle bells, Shopping bells, jingle all the way, Oh, what fun it is to go shopping everyday. Candy store, five and ten, sports shop after that, Toys for all the kiddies and don’t forget the cat. Dashing thru the crowds, people everywhere, Up and down the aisles, sneezing in my hair. There’s so much to choose, there’s so much to see. Wonder if what I got you cost more’n what you got me. Chorus Shopping Bells, Jingle Bells, will they never stop, I’ve been shopping all week long and I’m about to drop. Ring them bells somewhere else far away from here, Ain’t it really lucky Christmas comes but once a year? Verse Wrap your presents nice, Pretty bows that shine, Take them out to mail, You’re gonna wait in line. Find your way back home, and if you’re like me, Maybe on the twenty-fourth, You’ll get to trim the tree. Chorus Jingle Bells, Shopping Bells, Jingle dear Saint Nick, Got a hundred envelopes I’m gonna have to lick, “yick” Shopping Bells, Jingle Bells, my fingers all have cramps, And to really top it off, I just ran out of stamps. Chorus Jingle Bells, Shopping Bells, ringing in my ear, I’ll be broke ’till Easter time just like I was last year. Shopping Bells, Jingle Bells, a few more days and then, When I see the children smile, I’ll do it all again.
Beau
16. Mince pies nowadays are a lovely sweet treat but they didn't start out that way. What meat would you once have found in your 'Christmas Pie'? Santa went to the Doctors with a problem. Doctor: What seems to be the problem? Santa: I seem to have a mince pie stuck up my bottom! Doctor: Well your in luck because I've got just the cream for that!
Beau
17. The 3 wise men from the east offered gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus in Bethlehem. If you do a forum search you might find another gift hidden somewhere. Do you know what would have happened if it had been three wise WOMEN instead of men? They would have asked for directions, arrived on time, helped deliver the baby, cleaned the stable, made a casserole, and brought disposable nappies as gifts!
