Guest
Can any of you help please.....we currently use glasses for snack time..quite a few, although shatterproof have got chips in and I am thinking of changing to melamine? What do you use and where did you get them from? Also I need a better thermometer, I currently have a silly forehead one...was thinking of the Braun ear thermometer - any views on this too? Thanks
Guest
Our beakers, and in fact all our plates etc., are from Ikea-cheap and cheerful. I use a head thermometer so no ideas for you there. Linda
Upsy Daisy
I use Ikea too. Cheap, colourful, sturdy and dishwasher safe.

Jackie A.
We've recently bought these. They arrived within less than 24 hours of ordering! http://www.cnmonline.co.uk/Polypropylene-s...s-pr-30340.html
Tink69
Ikea too for me but have seen similar ones in Tescos. As far as the thermometer goes, whilst on a first aid course recently we were told to only use the forehead type. Tink69
Guest
Ikea cups and plates for me, too! I have the Braun Thermoscan ear thermometer - quick and easy to use and read and the individual hygiene covers are stocked in most chemists. (Mine gave the same reading as the one the out-of-hours Dr. used when I had the winter vomiting bug before Christmas) Nona
Guest
oooooooh haven't heard that about the thermometer....we have two children who have febrile convulsions and the doctor had advised the parent to make sure we use either under arm or ear thermometer? Think I better check were we stand. Thanks everyone ......looks like it could be Ikea! Our posts were made at the same time Nona...thanks for your advice too..x Edited January 5, 2010 by Guest
mps09
We receive our free milk from Cool Milk and they gave us some lovely melamine beakers with 1/3pt marked on them. Ideal!!
Cait
we use melamine cups with handles. They came from ebay and have 3 different designs, Bratz, Lego and Monsters Inc. They seem virtually indestructible so far! this type Edited January 5, 2010 by Cait

Tink69
As usual everyone gets told different things depending on your local area! It was only 5 months ago I was told not to use ear one as that was what the LA were recommending

Lorna
I have invested in this thermometer which is fab to use with my boys at home... no fiddle covers to use and don't actually need to disturb the boys. http://www.mothercare.com/Tommee-Tippee-Mu...41&mcb=core It reads as well as the one my GP used when checking the boys temp.
