  1. Hello gentle folk Apologies for the lack of appearances lately - all been quite busy here and then last Friday I was off up to my sons to help him have a massive sort out. He moved into his house 3 years ago when his relationship broke up and has not had the energy or time to sort things out over the last few years. William (now 4) helped sort out his toys and passed some on to 'other boys and girls who might need toys' - he was better at it than I thought he would be for sure lol Tom managed 15 bags of clothes to the charity shop - the boy is a hoarder for sure and what with charity shop trips and then some tip runs he is feeling much lighter. Its strange how we accumulate stuff isn't it.....hanging on to it in case we need it at some point and we rarely do. The weekend for me will be a mix of wet dog walking (the dog will be dry when I start lol) and I have my niece, daughter & her partner and my mum for Sunday lunch so won't matter what the weather does Sunday as I will be in the kitchen or dining room lol Have a good wekend whatever you end up doing my lovelies.

  8. Hi sunnyday I think you should just pop in here and share whenever you feel like it and not worry too much about it being a Friday maybe? I always read all the news you guys share but sometimes just don't reply because I am busy. Things here at FSF HQ have been mentally busy but fun. We have some new staff joining our team on the technical side as well as the product support team so we have had a bit of move around. As I may have told you we are lucky enough to bring our dogs to work.....it has been quite amusing watching our dogs head into our original office and not our new one. I have only moved one room along a corridor but that has not stopped Billy keep going next door 🤣 I am off up North next Friday to see my boys (son & grandson) and really looking forward to that. William turned 4 in September and is so funny and full of beans. He is really sporty and we must be the only adults trying to encourage him to do some screen time just so he takes a time out from whatever ball game he is playing. Mind you I am going with my husband and when 'Papa' is present I may as well not be there....he adores Papa 🥰 I am watching the Game of Wool and find it weird and wonderful. I love Holger (think that is how it is spent) the German tailor from Saville Row. He is so wonderfully grumpy 😆 Quiet weekend for me....a bit of pottering and tidying up and dog walking so hoping the rain stays away at least while I am walking. Have fun whatever you guys get up to and sending you all big virtual hugs. Sue xx

  14. @Butternut Sadly I cannot answer your question but when you were talking about a new qualification checker I thought I would look it up to share in case others have not seen it. Early years managers can now use the new Check an early years qualification digital service to quickly verify whether staff qualifications meet the requirements for staff:child ratios in England. The new service can be accessed at https://check-an-early-years-qualification.service.gov.uk/?utm_source=bedford&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=la This free GOV.UK tool allows managers to check a qualification’s approval status by entering key details such as: · course start date · level · awarding organisation At the end of the process, a clear outcome is provided, which can be printed for your records. Why use the new service? Using the new Check an early years qualification service: · saves time during recruitment and HR processes · supports workforce planning ahead of the September 2025 expansion of funded childcare entitlements · reduces confusion when checking qualifications The service is tailored specifically for early years managers. All other user groups (for example practitioners) should continue to use the Early Years Qualifications List (EYQL) to check qualifications, and contact our supplier Ecctis if they are unable to find the qualification on the EYQL. The Check an early years qualification service is for qualifications achieved in the UK. Holders of non-UK qualifications should continue to contact our supplier Ecctis for an assessment. If you need help using the service you can contact DfE. Thank you for your continued support of the sector.
  15. Oh Mouse that is so cute.....you should be on Sewing Bee - do you watch it? I never cease to be amazed that these people that go on these programs like Sewing Bee and Bake off don't seemed to have done their homework and tried lots of different tasks/recipes in readiness for what is thrown at them lol
