How to help a parent who has Asperger's - Blog post

 Share

Recommended Posts

This is a blog post written by a parent who has a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome and has experienced difficulties working with professionals who do not understand her needs.

I thought it might be helpful to share this post to help practitioners understand a bit more and maybe adapt their approach a little.

It's good to bear in mind that if you're working with a child who has autism, there is an increased chance that you are also working with a parent who is one the spectrum, although they may not be aware of it themselves.

I hope you find it useful.
