Mauritius
Hello!! I was wondering if anyone knows what the rules are on requiring a DBS for contractors that will be working onsite at a Nursery. For example we are thinking of getting a handyman for DIY jobs to come in once a week and same for a gardener also. Do they require a DBS? Thanks
FSFRebecca
I would say so yes, unless someone with a DBS is going to be with them at all times.
Panders
Well I find that contractors used to working in schools are automatically getting themselves DBS checks these days. So.... unless they are going to be working when the children are not on the premises I would say yes they do need them.
sunnyday
My sons run their own Civil Engineering business and they have had to DBS their entire workforce - they had a certain time-frame in which to do so free of charge.......
