skippy Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Hi Our setting is coming up to 3 years since last inspected. I though I could prepare and support staff by every now and then going in and asking questions. What would you ask??? Quote
Guest Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Questions about their key children's next steps or current level that they're tracked at Questions about your safeguarding policy Questions about Prevent since that seems to be such a big deal recently (recognising indicators of extremism etc) i normally send out policies and ask the staff to read them as a refresher - then a week or so later drop questions in about that particular policy so I can see what they've understood or whether they've not bothered to read it Quote
sunnyday Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I would definitely be asking lots of safeguarding questions - perhaps the most important one being do they know how to proceed (who to inform) if an allegation was made against you...... Quote
lsp Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 How are they engaging with parents of keychildren and about their children's starting points -how assessed? Quote
blondie Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 also how they will plan for the next steps in the key childs learning - those who need support and those that need extending. whistle blowing and who they would speak to if a concern about a child. Quote
