klc106 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Hi all Last term we had lots of issues with the children getting whiteboard Markers on their clothes and it not washing out. Any ideas on a brand we could use that will wash out of clothes Thanks 1 Quote

StrawberyTwirl Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I'm in the 'children should be in play clothes that parents don't mind getting grubby' camp! I always apologise... but It is in our policies that play clothes should be worn! Ordinary felt tip wise.... expensive but worth it http://www.amazon.co.uk/STABILO-Trio-Scribbi-Indestructable-Fibre/dp/B0075KQYZ8 I have used them in the past and they lasted really well... currently I'm also impressed with my nexus felt tips... they were on offer and are also lasting well... White board markers... again I use nexus, but had to persuade my rep to sell me a mixed box! 2 Quote
Cait Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 We gave up using them as they were a pain, they would accidentally catch their clothes, or someone else's, rub the board clean with their arms etc, we went into chalks and chalk boards, much better, especially as you can give tiny lengths of chalk that assist with learning tripod grip. Inge Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 we also stopped using them... when they used pencil we found they were not putting enough pressure on them to make a strong line, using the pens only needs a light touch.. we used chalk boards, made them ourselves .. Quote
klc106 Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 Thanks all. I did find some crayola ones that say they are washable but I am thinking of not using them in free choice but just when adults are doing a planned activity. Quote
