Childminders and observations

Recommended Posts

I now have 2 children that also attend a child minder for most of the week.. With their parents permission I gave them a report in all the areas. I asked her if we could exchange information. The child minder was not happy to exchange but now she has given me one observation in 1 area for each child. They are both focussed on the negative. Am I expecting too much?

No you are certainly not. It clearly states within the EYFS to work with other provisions for the benefit of the child you both care for.

Of the ones returned to us some have shown differences in stages of development, from what we have assessed them to be at.
