Just wondering how many Feet children you take on at one time? How you're finding it?

I feel like we're struggling slightly at the moment and they are taking a lot of time and attention away from the other children.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

we are not finding many difficulties - I feel as long as home visits are done families and children are settling well - if environment, resources and staffing are good then its all going well. we have 2 settings who the majority this term are funded twos - but maybe we are in the minority

Yes, we have lots and have few problems with the children. The difficulty we have is the lack of information we receive about any additional needs, family difficulties, safeguarding issues etc. Most of the funded children are referred to us from our local children's centre but we have to call Family Support Practitioners repeatedly to gain any information. One recently told us she couldn't reveal any information about the child's needs due to data protection!

We don't call them FEET in our area!

we have the same problem as Beehive, no information follows the child which makes it very hard for us. We take lots of two year olds and have few problems with them (touch wood) and love to see the progress they have made when they leave as four year olds recognising they wouldn't have done this if they came in as three year olds

so glad I was not the only one to not know what this term meant , we do have a few children on 2 yr funding but this is usually due to financial situation not necessarily any additional needs but family circumstances may be as such that they need an enabling environment not provided at home .
