info for parents

Hi after some comments on our questionnaire we are trying to put together a sheet/booklet on how parents can support their children at home I.e. in Maths counting the steps up to bed, recognising numbers on a walk etc. Really just some practical ideas within each area of learning. I looked at the DFE one but wanted more ideas.

I have tried a search but didn't come up with anything.

Thank you in advance

Also in our Parents Handbook.

This is some of what we believe is important to nurture young children’s development:

Providing a calm and emotionally warm environment, and simple resources which your child can use creatively.
Allowing him/her uninterrupted time to explore and be imaginative. Sharing books, music, nature and chores in
the house. Making pens and paper available to make marks and drawings. Avoiding over-stimulation through
screen-based entertainment.
