skippy Posted October 11, 2013 Share Posted October 11, 2013 Hi after some comments on our questionnaire we are trying to put together a sheet/booklet on how parents can support their children at home I.e. in Maths counting the steps up to bed, recognising numbers on a walk etc. Really just some practical ideas within each area of learning. This is some of what we believe is important to nurture young children’s development: Providing a calm and emotionally warm environment, and simple resources which your child can use creatively.Allowing him/her uninterrupted time to explore and be imaginative. Sharing books, music, nature and chores inthe house. Making pens and paper available to make marks and drawings. Avoiding over-stimulation throughscreen-based entertainment.
