When I talked with my children before the holidays one of the things they wanted to learn about was growing hot cross buns. I had been talking that morning about how I made some and they grew and grew so I'm sure that was what sparked it. Have no idea how I'm going to tackle it yet but... Could you include the story of the Little Red Hen and make some bread? Many years ago I covered this story as part of our 'Once upon a time' topic - we ground some corn and used it to make playdough - which was very interesting! You could compare yeast - do some science - add warm water to some and compare with other yeast to which you add cold and hot water - use fresh and dried yeast. x Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
