klc106 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Hi all I have my assessment for EYPS on 4th December on a Tuesday which is the only day we are open all day. We are also due OFSTED any time! What do you think the chances are of OFSTED turning up on the same day as my assessment? I am really worried as I think it would be a disaster as I am the manager and there is only me and one other member of staff. What do you think?
hali Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 probably quite slim - you could always ring Ofsted and ask them not to come on that day - good luck 1
Guest Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I had my EYPS visit with a black eye (!!) and Ofsted the same week as ECERS!!!!
caro Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Our tutors addressed this saying that if Ofsted turned up they would leave and rearrange for another date, yours would probably do the same! Not sure if that helps the stressing about it possibly happening. 1
Helen Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 When I was an EYPS assessor I turned up to assess the candidate five minutes after the Ofsted inspector had arrived I offered to come back another day but the candidate said "In for a penny.....let's get it all done!" I'm sure one or other would offer to do the same. 1
