Hi,

 

Just wondering if many of you are members of the PLA?

 

Also, do you know if you have to be a member to be able to use their products, such as accident records and registers?

I am a member of the PLA . You can order any publications and use them even if you are not a member. I used to use the accident books, etc before I joined.

 

If you are a member, the publications are cheaper.

We're members as well. As already stated, you can order their publications without being a member. They are cheaper to buy if you are members though.

but not worth becoming a member to get it cheaper... unless you really want to... they are not significantly different in price..

Thanks for the replies. I'm opening a new pre-school in September and using the products would be great but I could not justify paying £90 for

becoming a member so your replies have been really helpful!

We are also a member, I opened in September 2009 and I have to say found their advice and support well worth the £90 when I was setting the pre-school up.

their insurance s the best tho the organisation is sadly lacking nowadays more interested in policy making than on the ground activity. their publications are superb esp the policies and procedures ones.
