My next PE unit for my YR/1 class is dance and I'm hoping to do some snowy/wintery/icy dance to go with it. I'm looking for music to inspire them. I've come up with a few so far but would love more ideas. The ones I have so far... 'Winter' from Vivaldi's Four seasons 'The Forest of Fir Trees in Winter' and 'Waltz of the snowflakes' both from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. Deb Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 How about the Ski Sunday/Winter Olympics theme tune? "Pop Looks Bach" by Sam Fonteyn or it Pop goes Bach? I have used this as part of bringing stories to life, as part of the warm up to a snowy story. Biccy - I love the Nutcracker too, watching and listening to it. Have you heard any of the dramatisation that's been on Radio 7 over Christmas?
