JacquieL
One of the poorest countries in the world has a catastrophe which is beyond our experience and imagination. If you feel you are able to help out in any way please read this and do what you feel is right for these people and their children. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jan/1...e-aid-donations

narnia
It's a living nightmare for all those involved. As we have had a couple of new children start with us that we weren't expecting this term, we have donated the income the extra fees to the appeal. we hope it helps in some small way

I haven't done anything sensible yet - apart from sign the ONE petition which is urging the cancellation of Haiti's debt........right time to make a donation methinks....... HappyMaz
I heard on the radio this morning that some banks have been barring donations made to the Haiti appeal fund website(s) because of queries about fraudulent use of credit cards. Apparently one of the first things credit card fraudsters do to check the card is working is to make an online charitable donation because there is no product to deliver, so they get confirmation the card is active without arousing suspicion. So if you make a donation only to find the bank has put a stop on it, you'll need to ring your Bank to complain and get them to 'un bar' the website!
