Sickness Monitoring

Can anyone help with a sickness monitoring policy /procedure etc, only it has been suggested we have a written one in place

ie if a person is off sick consistently we are able to take action against them- as apparently we need this document in place to be able to do so??

What kind of thing do you have in mind? Who has told you to have this document?


Presumably you are noting staff sickness on the register, would it help to have a staff discussion about it to decide what everyone feels is fair?

I think what you are looking for is called an Absence Policy, which is a way of monitoring staff absence and dealing with problems which could arise, either in helping staff return to work or dealing with staff who are frequently off work. There is a thread here which may help a little. I'm sure someone will be along soon with an example.
