Guest Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Hi everyone! We are holding a 'multi-cultural' day in school next week, where each classroom will represent a different nationality of the children in our setting. I have 'Great Britain/United Kingdom' and I am really struggling for activities the children can do??? I was thinking of maybe doing an activity for England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales??? Any ideas would be truly appreciated - struggling slightly!!! Tinky x
Cait Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 er, flags? flowers (thistle, daffodil, rose, - oh, what's Ireland?) Could they learn hello in welsh, gaelic etc? I'll keep thinking
Guest Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Could you do flags for the individual countries and show how they make the union jack. Costumes for dressing up in, music and dance from the individual countries, a sample of traditional foods. Sorry not riveting ideas! have you looked on sparkle box.
