Steve Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 This is (short) notice to let you know that the FSF will be offline today for around 2 hours while we do some essential server maintenance. We expect this to begin at around 11am. Apologies for the inconvenience! Best wishes, Steve
Steve Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 That's all folks! All done in slightly less than one hour, thanks to some great work by our hosting company (take a bow, Clook!) and a mysterious masked man called Matt (to alliterate atrociously). He should take more than a bow for all the help he's given me in the last year!
JacquieL Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Thank goodness all is well and well done both of you. Er will we soon have our lovely Xmas tree banner at the top? We elderly ladies like our traditions.
Steve Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 Yes, I'll dig the christmas decorations out of the loft over the next few days Jacquie!
HappyMaz Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Yes, I'll dig the christmas decorations out of the loft over the next few days Jacquie! Not too soon though Steve - you'll put me under pressure to get mine sorted! Not that I'm competitive of course..... Maz
HappyMaz Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Id say you have at least a fortnight yet.. Well I think I should be ready for Christmas by about March, mundia! Will that do? Maz
mundia Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Yep that would do it for me!. When I lived in more exotic places, Christmas just sort of happened sometime around january ish... or when everyone got around to it really
JacquieL Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I think once every five years would be better. We can't really avoid Christmas around here and I do like the children's services and the Midnight service. I also like having all my family together. What bothers me is the pressure it places on people, especially the elderly and lonely. It just isn't how it should be.
mundia Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 so true. How did we get from infallibility of the FSF to Christmas?
