Amazon Fire tablets and the new Tapestry app
A brand-new Tapestry app is coming soon! This isn’t just an update; it’s a completely new app built from the ground up to make recording and sharing children’s learning smoother and easier than ever. This new app will fully replace the old one you’ve been using. However, it does come with some new requirements and recommendations for Amazon Fire users that may affect you. New operating system requirements To use the new app, your device must be: Running Amazon Fire OS 7 or higher, and Be a 9th generation tablet or newer. To check your device, go to Settings > Device Options > About Fire Tablet. You’ll find both your OS version and device generation. Important notes: Devices running OS 7 on 9th–11th generation hardware can install the app, but may experience slower performance due to limited memory. For the best experience, we recommend OS 8 or higher on 12th generation devices or newer. If you need to replace your device, we’ve put together a list of lower-cost recommended options. Is the care diary available on the app?
Hi Emma, Apologies for the delay in getting back to you about this feature request! The Care Diary feature is available via the IOS app. The Care Diary can be made visible to relatives by enabling it for them to view. This can be done through the Control Panel (or Configuration if you're using the new look) > Features > Care Diary > Care Diary Settings > and tick 'Enabled for relatives'. Then when relatives login, they'll be able to view any entries you have made for their child throughout the day. Please note, if you also tick 'Staff must approve relative access to entries', then you'll need to approve the entry before the relatives will be able to see them through their account. Trying to add EYFS to flags, went on configuration and enabled EYFS but does not save ? is there any save button I am not seeing ?
