Sunnyday I’m so sorry to hear your news. It’s a horrible decision to have to make but the kindest.
Louby Lou hope you are not feeling poorly with the shingles and it soon goes.
What amazing weather it’s been, sadly changing this weekend I think. The garden will be happy though. Well my son is back from honeymoon, they had an amazing time. They had their 20 week scan today and everything is looking as it should be, which is wonderful news.
I had no idea it was half term! Guess I would have realised when it gets busier down here next week. Funny how my life used to run in terms now I don’t even know when the term times start and finish!
Have a lovely weekend all.Term times? What are those then? 🤭🤭🤣
half way scan - very exciting. Do they know gender?

Good morning - 'tis Friday
Have had a bit of a sad few days as my beautiful Chocolate Lab granddog had to be put to sleep - I just need to remind myself that he had the best life imaginable and his suffering was quickly relieved 💔
I have lots of 'babysitting' duties with my two youngest grandchildren coming up which will be lovely.
How can it be half-term already?
Hope that the weekend is kind to all x
Oh that’s wretched news, Sunnyday. I’ve had my tiny girl to the vet again this week with her itchies and lack of appetite. She did mention euthanasia if I thought her quality of life was impacted 😳😳. Hugs to you and the family, will there be another in their future? Are they going round rescue places to test the waters?

So sad to hear your news sunnyday 😢
Nothing much going on here, except I have shingles!
Hope eveyone's ok - it's very quiet here 😮
Time is flying past so fast, I cannot believe we will only have 6 weeks left when we go back 😳.
Have a good weekend all.
Ugh, shingles, soooooo painful. I hope you’re getting all the meds and they’re helping! Scottish granddaughter breaks up for the summer in just a couple of weeks, but they’re back in August of course.

I’m currently 56 hrs a week staffing down (including the recently appointed deputy) which as you can imagine in a small team is hell, I am far to old for this full time practitioner malarky, not sure how I’ve made it to half term,I think the committee think the admin fairies rock up and do my job overnight 😵💫…..if anyone fancies a bit of bank staffing 😉
Have a great week all x
I remember working those hours all too well! The 10.30 at night computer switch offs and weekend admin. It felt like I was going into work for a rest sometimes! And yes, the rest of the staff definitely thought there were admin fairies.

Good afternoon gentle folk
I am feeling a little demob happy as today is my last day in the office for a week - off to Normandy next week with friends and very excited. Visiting Monet's Garden and the Bayeux Tapestry in between eating and drinking far too much I am sure lol
Have a good weekend and enjoy another May bank holiday weekend at the end of next week 😊Take care xxx
I do hope you ask very loudly where the ‘tapestry’ is, and point out that the display piece is just an embroidery 🤣🤣🤣🤭

It was just dates and some candied peel instead of the usual raisins. I threw in some chopped walnuts too (can you tell I'm clearing out the baking cupboard?!). It's fine although it feels less fruity as the dates have kind of blended into the cake. It's very moist though. I'm having no problem eating it! 😉
Sounds delicious!

Hi all, I hope everyone had a good Easter 🐣, I ate enough chocolate in a weekend to more than make up for the 40 days I’d given it up 🙈
I’m now nanna to a granddaughter (Chloe) all went well and quickly, (thanks for asking Sue), very excited to be able to knit/make girly things 💗
That’s really lovely news! Are you ‘allowed’ to do traditional colours? I had to do orange and green 🤢

Hello all,
Well, to get myself over the hurdle of not going back to school when everyone else I knew was I went to York for a couple of days. Gentle pootling round the Minster and other sites and sitting eating icecream (it was a beautiful day) in a park. Since coming back I'm gradually building a new way to do things for me involving lots of rest, reading and crafting (I have a pair of socks and a blanket as my main projects at the moment although there are SO many unfinished projects in my house). I'm also steadily sorting out my house and tidying/cleaning so it starts to feel loved again. I'm enjoying a daily walk and starting to realise that it's not necessary to try to do multiple things at the same time!
Sounds perfect. I wonder if we were in York at the same time?!
With the help of a very good friend, I’ve been decorating the living room - something that’s seriously needed it for a few years, but Mike wouldn’t have coped with the upheaval of it all. I’m going slowly as I don’t want to feel I’m eradicating him from this space, but it will look very different and calm when it’s finished.-

Fabulous! What’s your clan tartan? Did you hire or own? We bought our son a new kilt and kit for his wedding and it was well into four figures back then in 2014! He’s had loads of wear out of it, living as he does in Fife. Graduations, weddings, big group get togethers - any opportunity. He’s put on a bit of weight these days though sadly, from his wedding 22” waist ( or less, can’t remember) so I’m going to have to move the leathers a bit.

Good morning - 'tis Friday
How is everyone?
We are 'virus free' here - both tested negative on Monday which was great.
Nothing much to report from here - by 'eck the temperature has changed - yesterday we had rain, hail and even a few flakes of snow - brrrr
Hope that the weekend is kind to you all x
Phew! I’m pleased to hear it! The virus seems to have depleted in strength since the early days, thankfully, but they do keep warning us about different variants that sound worrying! When Mike had it early on, the hospital whipped him round anti-virals to take. We had to notify the hospital immediately if he tested positive and they were here with the meds within the hour!

Well even though, for obvious reasons, Christmas is seriously pared back here, the wrapping still took over 2.5 hrs because I’ve just got little things, but obviously lots of them! Granddaughter has the usual amount of course

Well it’s Friday, and my day for sanctuary duty at church. Cleaning the brasses and filling up the candles - oil ones these days except the Advent wreath. Others go vacuuming and polishing, flowers etc. It’s only every couple of months as it’s a good rota, we do two Fridays on and then six Fridays off this year!

I’d have thought definitely by year 1 it could be written correctly at the bottom of the writing along with a ‘well done for trying’

Good morning - 'tis Friday! (I have to say it - would feel unlucky not to!)
Young Froglet - all your crafting activities sound great to me - and the best crafters have lots of UFOs (unfinished objects - well that what I tell myself anyway!) - I love the idea of a 'crochet workshop' - enjoy
Louby - wow - your machine embroidery card making course sounds brilliant - would be way beyond my capabilities
I already have two loads of washing out on my line and another in the machine - forecast is great - however it is looking suspiciously like rain...
Happy half-term to those breaking up today!
Take care all x

Looking fabulous. I’ve seen another similar where she’d done green icord stuffed with pipe cleaners to make tendrils. Maybe I’ll have a go sometime.

It went through Cornwall in the night and is settling a bit here now. Just off for Mums birthday lunch to Roskillys (if you know you know) she’s 89 today! And this is the women who in one week does Pilates, two fitness classes, social club, pub quiz, cooks at the old peoples community lunch, plays table tennis, goes to writing group and walks everyday! She is amazing!
Wowsers! I’m thinking, something to aim for - but I don’t do all that now!!!

I loved those books! But I seem to be one of the few who hated the Beatrix Potter ones! Yuk.
