  1. Tapestry for children

    great minds think alike!
  2. Tapestry for children

I have an 8 year old who is very tech savvy so with parents permission I set him up as a relative on his tapestry and he LOVES it. So nice because he is looking back, reflecting, making comments (his parents never do). Wish i'd done it sooner!"
  3. I wondered if anyone can advise me how I can change the settings on my iPad and iPhone so that the uploaded media is chronological order...currently it is loading with the last video first which means when several smaller videos are uploaded the sequence is out of order and it doesn't make as much sense to the reader/viewer.
  4. Tom, I am forever grateful to you for retrieving all the data from my deactivated account! I'm really enjoying going through old observations.

  5. ofsted registration visit due

    Thanks wildflowers
  6. ofsted registration visit due

Thank you. I have been childminding for the last 3 and a half years but I am aware that some of the policies and procedures required are more than childminders ones...a list would be great x And thanks we love the Yurt...just hope Ofsted do too
  7. ofsted registration visit

Hello, i wondered if anyone could offer some advice. We are due our Ofsted registration visit for our full day outdoor childcare provision-7.30-6.30 and all we have for indoor space is a yurt with electricity. Any tips on what documents to have prepared for registration visit in general would be VERY welcome! Anything specific to outdoor education/nature kindergarten/forest school would be very welcome. Even a simple check list of things to have ready would be useful-I feel like we have so much going on that I cannot keep track of everything so a master list would be great

  10. Anyone have a link to the disqualification by association document? Just updating SG policy
  11. Why are day nurseries organised by age groups?

Brilliant information guys, think you very much x
  12. Hello, a bit of a random question but I have been thinking about day nurseries and similar organisations and am trying to find information or research which explains why children are grouped by age range. Apart from the obvious ratio's that are legally required is there any other reasons why they are organised like this? Do you know of any settings which organise the care for children by different groupings? I'm thinking of mixed age/ability groups that stay with each other for longer period of time...therefore reducing the need for transitions within the typical nursery/school yearly cycle. Any ideas welcomed received!
  13. Inspection after complaint

This comes as a relief to me as I have just gone through a doorstep inspection due to 2 malicious complaints (not from parents or families)
  14. Book keeping package

    I'd like to know too!
  15. Health declaration charge £160.00

That interesting, I registered as a childminder 18months ago and due to a long and complicated health history I filled in the declaration and then was asked to visit an "approved GP" in a private practice, I don't remember being charged at all...
