After a lot of guessing about how old I would be (it varied from 4 to 99) I came clean and told them I would be 49. Helen Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 Thank you all so much Steve, Jamie and Annie bought me a bike I swear they only did it so they could all laugh hysterically as I attempted to cycle up our road. We live at the bottom of a hill, so the only way is up! I've never had a new bike before (ahh!) and the old battered one I did have years ago only had 3 gears, so everyone found it highly amusing while I tried to learn all about gears.... I've just got back, very aware of just how unfit I am, and not just a little shaky. Still, birthday cake and tea have been consumed in vast amounts, and we're just about to slump down to watch another old episode of MASH. Log fire burning, big squashy sofa, meal out tonight.
