finleysmaid Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 I'm sure ive read this somewhere but can't find it! We have had to forgo our staff meetings at the moment and i would like to do a round robin type message to the staff each week. Is there a way i can do this on tapestry ? (obviously not for parents to access!) Quote
Mouseketeer Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Hi FM, when I want to share things with staff I use Reflections, I add a key child for each staff so that they see the notification on the App (parents don’t see them), I also ask staff to add feedback from any training, add any handouts or links they received and anything they feel we should be implementing and then all can discuss thoughts on that 🙂 1 Quote

EmilyTapestrySupport Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Hi finleysmaid, Reflections would definitely be a good place for these, as Mousekeeter says, parents can't see these. There is no in-built spell checker in Tapestry but the device or browser you are using should have one, if it's not enabled or working it's worth checking those settings! Hope this helps. Quote

Fab thanks ...yes im not really sure why my spell check doesn't work on here! I'm guessing we can't use reflections on the app? Quote
Mouseketeer Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 No, it does need to be via the browser, I add the key child so staff see a notification on the app, that takes them to the browser. 1 Quote
Jules Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 We have some tutorials in case you'd like a bit of support getting set up with Reflections on Tapestry: Setting up Reflections Adding a Reflection Updating a Reflection Viewing a Reflection And we also have an article on Tapestry.info about using Reflections. 😊 Quote
finleysmaid Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Thanks Jules i will go and read those. My staff rarely access the browser. They dont really need to except at the end of term. I think this is the issue for us really i have a false child so i may just use that for reminders etc. Quote
Jules Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Ahhh yes, only being able to access something like Reflections via the browser does make it tricky if staff tend to use the app version. Adding things to the app is always on the list for Tapestry. In the meantime, having a false child is a very clever way to go! 😊 1 Quote
