Mermaidzen Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 OK in the nursery each morning we try and sing a number song which is easy there are so many and an opposite song which I am stumped on. I'm in the preschool room so the children are 3-5yrs. The only one I know is Roly poly sugar baby push push push Roly poly sugar baby pull pull pull Roly poly sugar baby out out out Roly poly sugar baby in in in Roly poly sugar baby fast fast fast Roly poly sugar baby slow slow slow any ideas really welcome.
Panders Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) thing is some songs only have one or two opposites, rather than the example you have given. I,e, pease porridge hot, pease porridge cold, or Polly put the kettle and sukey take it off again, or even wind the bobbin up, where they are doing forward and backward motions with hands, or pointing up and down. or hokey cokey putting things in or out! you tube seem to have a few have you checked on there? sunnyday Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Agree with Panders - most songs/action games that I can think of only have a few opposites...... Dingle dangle scarecrow - first verse is 'loud', in the second verse he 'whispers very soft' We also sing songs quietly, slowly, loudly, fast...…. I'll keep thinking (although it hurts my brain )
Jo43 Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 We do this rhyme with actions As tall as a house As small as a mouse As wide as a gate As thin as a rake 2
