In the recent budget, the Government have announced the new minimum wage and living wage amounts. These will come into effect in April 2018.

The new minimum rates are as follows:
£7.38 per hour for 21 to 24 year olds
£5.90 per hour for 18 to 20 year olds
£4.20 per hour for 16 to 17 year olds
£3.70 per hour for apprentices

Additionally, the early years funding rates have been released as well as the operational guidance for local authorities

PSLA commented  on this a few days ago, did put it on th FSF Addicts Facebook page, (sorry don't always remember to add it here too)

The more worrying angle is the aim to increase it to £9 by 20 20 with no increase in the funding supplied, that is to remain the same until then..

I am so glad it is not my headache to sort it out anymore.. we were at breaking point when I retired with cost and funding just breaking even, no way is that the case now.
