Our manager has been signed off work for 6 weeks.

 

I'm thinking I give her sick note to the payroll company for them to sort?

Yes - they will need it to give her SSP. If they are an independant payroll company, they will need details of her terms and conditions from you in relation to whether she is entitled to company sick pay. We do our own payroll here (for 75) so we have much experience of staff sickness!! (It is the biggest nightmare of the job!)

Yes, give it to them, you pay them for this sort of stuff, after all.

 

PS I'm sitting here finishing off birthday cake, so not going anywhere X
