The position is for 37.5 hours per week but sometimes we may ask for staff to do extra hours. It will be a temporary contract with a chance of being made permanent. We run a nursery that cares for children aged 0-11. We are open 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday-Friday, all year round. We close for bank holidays and Christmas. We provide childcare for 0-3s as well as running a breakfast and afterschool club for children aged 3-11. The job vacancy we have will be based with the 0-3s but sometimes staff are needed to be in other rooms with different ages. We have a close link to the adjoining school. Job roles will include: -To assist the room leader with the day-to-day running of the room - Being a key person to a number of children - Caring for children under 3 - Working in our breakfast and afterschool club (ages 3-11) - Observing, planning and working with the EYFS - Working alongside other practitioners - working as part of a team Qualities desired: -Qualified to Level 3 or above - Some experience of working with children - Good understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children - Ability to communicate effectively - Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage - Knowledge of child development - Can keep confidentiality Staff members are required to do training, attend courses and participate in staff meetings which all may be out of our working hours.
