Reggio Emilia approach to Early Years

The programme gives a flavour of the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Years education, rooted in a fascinating post-war history that gave rise to the value and study of childhood.

(Missed this one then Peggy!)

Yep, it wasn't included on my email alert from Teachers TV :o

I like the Reggio ethos but not the expensive equipment ( light tables, mirrors etc)

I love the Reggio way of thinking also , limited planning following the childrens ideas using natural materials that cost nothing. (light boxes and mirrors excluded)

I did buy a light table last year and it is used everyday. I now want a mirror table but have yet to find a demountable one that is reasonably priced. I am also wondering if they scratch easily.

Hi

Can you tell me more about light tables- where do you get them from and are they any good. I have seen a few in some settings but never in any catalogues.

Are they expensive?

Are they worth there money?

Would you recommend that one?
