lsp
We only dealt with LA. Had to have good or outstanding rating in place and signed an application form.

MarshaD
I only opened up last year so haven't had an Ofsted yet and like others just made agreement with LA. Not sure but I guess safeguarding, differentiating / meeting their needs as opposed to older children, how you'll assess their starting points / track their progress. Check out handbook. Good luck! Alphabears
Thank you everyone. As we've only been open a few months we haven't had an ofsted inspection yet, so to get the 2 year old funding without being graded yet by ofsted we have to have a mini inspection instead. I'll let you know how it goes.
AliceinWonderland
I too am waiting for my first inspection, but we were able to have the 2 year old funding straight away, think it may be individual to your LA. Is your mini inspection by ofsted or the LA? I wouldn't have thought ofsted would bother with a mini inspection as they are so far behind in inspections anyway. Good luck though
Alphabears
The inspection didnt happen at the end. I got a call on Friday saying they are stopping the visits, just need to go through a few bits with my Early Years Consultant and wait for a letter to confirm I can go ahead with it. Thanks for all the support though
