Guest Nuby
Ofsted has advised a settings parents to look for other provision for the forseeable future. Does this mean the setting wont be opening its doors again? Anyone ever experienced an OFSTED investogation?
Cait
Not quite sure what you mean? Have Ofsted been in touch with all the parents at a particular setting to tell them to look elsewhere for childcare? How did they get the names and addresses if not through the preschool itself? I would have thought that if the preschool have given the information to Ofsted so that they could do this, it would mean that the preschool wasn't operational for the foreseeable future, for whatever reason
Guest Nuby
Yes exactly that Cait. The setting have informed the parents on instruction from OFSTED. I just wondered whether anyone has been in these circumstances before and how long it went on for, did they reopen etc etc
sunnyday
Hello The pre-school in the next village closed in such circumstances - cue for much speculation - it turned out to be that they hadn't formed a new committee (despite warnings) - this 'spurred' parents into action and they reopened the following week....
narnia
This happened in a village in our county, OFSTED closed the group, cancelled their registration due to allegations that children were at risk of harm from one staff member. Setting was fully booked for the following year and I haven't heard the outcome of police investigations, but all equipment has been sold, so the setting is definately closed and gone. Guest Nuby
Feel for the parents that have been asked to find alternative childcare. OFSTED wouldnt ask them too if they didnt think the setting was going to carry on trading after investigation would they?
